From September 21, 2026
1. AitP review: Roura & Jen
a. When Roura was at the City Offices she was given a framed1971 ink and watercolor of art in the park by artist: Arvid D. Jacbosen for the Art Guild. Not sure where it was discovered. LAG will get it re-framed.
b. Report on AitP: Seemed like a pretty good event for most artists. Gross dollar amount a little more than previous year. Still tallying final numbers. May gross $400,000.
c. Over 125 artists participated.
d. We were fortunate with storms. Sunday was cool and comfortable.
e. Lots of positive comments from artists on volunteers helping.
f. Eight LAG tents are needing washing and airing out. Will need volunteers to help. Email may be sent out to arrange a pick up time.
g. A few t-shirts sold online. Also sold some of the birds and posters. Made close to $200.
h. There were suggestions to end at 5pm on Saturday. But others had late day sales.
i. AltCap event: Small group attended but AltCap was pleased. Was a nice social gathering. May invite them back at a later date to talk at a meeting about how they help artists.
j. Suggestion: Information booth was hard to find. May look for a better location. Or better way to find the tent. Possibly a different color tent top.
Jen thanked everyone who helped, volunteered and attended AitP.

d. Sidenote: Jena from the Castle was pleased with the number of artists who wanted to show art in her space. May be a future collaboration. May participate in Final Fridays.
6. Membership Dues
a. Thinking of implementing a $5 increase. Reasoning is the increase of technology costs. Membership renewals start October 1st. Current dues are $30 & $20 (seniors). Looked at area groups: Topeka charges $50. LAC lowest tier is $50. Guild is wanting to increase benefits and opportunities for members. About 240 members currently.
b. Currently not doing a campaign for asking for memberships and finding new members. Suggestion: emails to dropped members. Flyer at LAC at information area.
c. Question from discussion: last time membership fee was increased? Roura says since she joined the fee has been $30. Possibly 2019.
d. Feedback: all present thought it was reasonable.
Meeting adjourned.
Next meeting Monday, November 16th, 6:30 - 8:30 at Art Emergency
