Ronda Reinke’s new work illustrates images using bright pastel pencils on 280 to 600 grit sandpaper. As I watched my young children dream and participate in activities, it became clear to me that kids across America can become anything. The most important part of American  is I Can. As the drawings came along, I also got the sense of dance and how the movement of the skirts reflected movement of drapery.  As in French baret we find exuberant young children dancing a style of cancan. Kids bring a lively quality to dance performing in America, the Ameri-Can Can.
