Get immersed in the vibrant mixed-media paintings of Janice Schoultz-Mudd at Phoenix Gallery Underground. “IN OUT ABOVE and BEYOND” lies on the line between abstraction and representation with richly colored paintings inspired by contemporary landscapes. These textural paintings are built up through many layers of mixed acrylic paint colors, cut paper paper shapes, and found objects. Process plays a vital role in creating the interesting evolution of textures and depth in this mixed-media work.
