Although formally trained in design I am essentially a self-taught airbrush artist. My paintings are manifestations of my 25-plus years as a graphic designer having worked at several companies in the Kansas City area. I now reside in Shawnee, Kansas. The content of my work is both psychological and contextual. I focus on forming geometric shapes and colors to expand the confines of the canvas and strive to accomplish a “color environment” that will affect viewers emotionally and well as intellectually. The subjects of my painting go from being purely impulsive in the design stage to extremely meticulous throughout the use of the airbrush in the final painting.
