Leslie Flowers is a graduate of The University of Houston with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts, Studio Painting. She graduated with Summa Cum Laude Honors. An artist who has painted for over 30 years believes that without education and studying the great master painters of the past and present one cannot grow as an artist. Leslie’s work is constantly evolving. Through many years of sketching, painting and experimenting with new styles Leslie Flowers has a look that is unique to her. Improvisational, eccentric and idiosyncratic compositions describes her work. Leslie work’s from her stock of photographs and appropriated imagery. Preferring abstract to realism she also enjoys impressionism when developing a painting. She defines volume, space and atmosphere with deliberate use of vibrant color, bold contrast and texture. She is on the leading edge of pouring latex paint onto a canvas with the intention of creating fluidity and her impression of water as sea. Ms. Flower’s works in oils, acrylics and latex. Ms. Flowers has had various exhibitions and been in several juried art shows. For over 20 years as president of Print Media an advertising agency she founded, Ms. Flowers was responsible for creative development of brochures, ads, annual reports, newsletters, catalogs and direct mail pieces. She also initiated and implemented corporate identity campaigns as well as product and service awareness campaigns on both local and national levels. She was honored with The Communicator Crystal Award for “The Twelve Days of Christmas.”
