Kathleen Anderson

Personal Photo:
Viewers often react to Kathleen’s watercolor paintings with the phrase, “what happy colors”. She loves to explore the effects of light and shadow, along with the soft effects of working “wet-in-wet” and letting the colors mix and flow. Her subjects range from cityscapes and landscapes to vibrant florals, still lifes and animals. Seascapes are also a favorite subject, stemming from her years of living on the East Coast where she explored the seashore and historic fishing villages of the Chesapeake Bay. She is a member of the Lawrence Art Guild and 1109 Gallery, the Greater Kansas City Art Association, and Images Gallery in Kansas City.
